Week 22: Why life is not easy

Maayong Hapon everyone!

[Adventures of Sister Ventura]
[Many pictures to follow below!] Just one highlight I would like to share is what I learned on Sunday. We had Ward Conference, so [every Sunday], [there are] people from the Stake [that] come to speak to us and check up [on how our ward is doing here in my area]. The 2nd speaker during our sacrament meeting was just amazing. He shared that "life isn't easy, but if we feel it is difficult, we are on the right track." I pondered on that and realized how it is so true. The whole reason why we are here on earth is constantly learn and progress, not to stay idle and coast through life. Heavenly Father sent us here to earth because He wants us to learn para so kaugalingon (ourselves) how to choose between right and wrong. May kahilwayan sa pagpili kita (we have agency), one of the most amazing gifts Heavenly Father has given to us. Why life isn't easy isn't because Heavenly Father wants us to feel miserable, but because He wants us to have the bad days so we can know what the good days feel like! Just like it says in 2 Nephi 2:11: "For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility." Even when we feel like things aren't going our way, always remember if we're doing the right thing, we really are on the right track! Everything is of a wise purpose that only Heavenly Father knows and has in store for us. I know that life isn't meant to be easy, but it is worth it!

I hope I was able to help someone out today with this e-mail today!
